I Love GoFundMe! Thank You For Telling Richard Painter and His Goons to Buzz Off.
Yes, I know it’s hard to believe, but my GoFundMe was under attack again, by Richard Painter and his Goons mass reporting my GoFundMe with bad faith reports.
I just want to say how much I love GoFundMe for telling Richard Painter and his Goons to buzz off. Yet again. Richard Painter is a Buffoon who has repeatedly threatened to report me to the Bar and for Fraud for my GoFundMe, including when he defamed me in an MSNBC Op Ed. (Anyone who has followed Richard Painter’s now 4 month campaign to destroy me and drive me to suicide on Twitter could not have failed to understand that I was Painter’s intended target.) He also threatened to have me prosecuted by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for Fraud for my GoFundMe.
Richard Painter has also placed my life in the gravest of danger, by trying to incite someone to shoot and kill me, when he repeatedly compared me to Ahmaud Arbery’s killers, suggested that I was trying to lynch Black students at Yale, and even compared me to Hitler. Moreover, Richard Painter doesn’t have the foggiest clue about the meaning of Commercial Speech or Free Speech or Defamation. When I make an appeal for donations on my GoFundMe, so that I can continue my legal efforts to restore Due Process and Equal Protection at Yale, this is NOT Commercial Speech. And, it certainly isn’t defamation when I publicly document Richard Painter’s now 4 month Twitter campaign to ruin me, nor when I publicly object to Richard Painter repeatedly comparing me to Ahmaud Arbery’s killers and to Hitler.
GoFundMe could not be more aware that my fundraiser is the antithesis of a fraud. I am and have always been 100% transparent about what I’m raising funds for and where the donations are going.
GoFundMe has been amazing to me. They have stood by my side for years now, because they appreciate that I am a True Whistleblower, Speaking Real Truth to Power.
