Jonathan Haidt Almost Got Me Killed and Destroyed My Human and Civil Rights Career. And, the Whole World Pretends I Don’t Exist and I’m Not Still Alive. I Ask Robby Soave to do his Job and Ask Haidt About Me When They Debate.
It makes me lose faith in humanity.
Jonathan Haidt literally almost got me killed and destroyed my lifelong human and civil rights academic and legal careers.
And, rather than hold Jonathan Haidt accountable for his despicable actions, everyone just pretends that I did in fact commit suicide, as Haidt intended. Everyone just pretends that I’m dead, so no one has to confront what they did to me.
Yes, I live inside of a surreal hellish nightmare now. I am screaming the TRUTH from the mountaintops, and I’m being gaslighted by near the entire world, including the Fake News Press and the Black Trauma Moral Outrage Industry, because I am the PROOF that they are evil, lying bigots and charlatans and frauds.
Jonathan Haidt literally repudiated the entirety of his body of work and The Coddling of the American Mind when he turned his Fall 2018 Book Tour for The Coddling into a social media witch hunt meant to drive me to suicide. Haidt told the most reprehensible lies about me on Sam Harris’ podcast and on the New York Times Book Review Podcast. Haidt 100% knew that he was putting my life in the gravest of danger. He has repeatedly made this clear when discussing the dangers of social media moral outrage mobs driving innocent private citizen nobodies to suicide over alleged and imagined faux pas of unWokeness. Moreover, the only evidence Haidt had he acquired via mind reading, making huge leaps of logic, and the implicit bias he allegedly abhors.
And, as if that weren’t enough for Haidt to have resigned from his position at NYU in abject shame, Jonathan Haidt maintains his smear campaign against me to this day. I have posted screenshots of the disgusting email he obviously hands out to anyone who asks him about me. If I didn’t know better, I would assume that someone had written this to mock and shame Haidt. But, no, Haidt wrote it himself, even though it is a complete disavowal of everything he has ever said and done during his entire career, ostensibly fighting Cancel Culture and Woke Tyranny on campuses.
Please consider that there is no way that Haidt did not know that I was the social psychology PhD student of Tom Tyler, the Father of Procedural Justice and the Co-Director of the Justice Collaboratory at Yale Law School. I know that Haidt knows Tyler well. Academia, especially at elite institutions, is a small, insular world, particularly within respective disciplines. If Haidt actually had any questions about what happened during the obvious Living or Napping While Black Hate Crime Hoax at Yale, he could have picked up the phone and called Tom Tyler. He could have picked up the phone and called my Yale Philosophy Advisor, Jason Stanley. I know that Haidt also knows Jason.
At this point, I don’t expect decency from Jonathan Haidt. I expect Haidt to continue to tell grossly defamatory lies about me and to smear me, in the hopes that I’ll never be able to recover my life and reputation and career, so that I will never have the status and resources with which to challenge him. He has proven that he is a soulless, heartless monster of a man. But, I expect his colleagues to confront Haidt. It is a matter of professional ethics. I expect anyone who claims the mantle of journalist to ask Jonathan Haidt the tough questions, to get to the TRUTH.
On that note, I am aware that Robby Soave of Reason Magazine is going to debate Haidt in NYC in February, on the issue of the dangers of social media and whether and to what extent the federal government should intervene.
I am reaching out to Robby Soave, with whom I once corresponded, and he told me how sorry he was for what had been done to me. I am pleading with Robby Soave to please ask Jonathan Haidt about what he did to me. I am begging Robby Soave to please ask Jonathan Haidt about his ongoing smear campaign against me.
