I hope so much that Post Jack Dorsey Twitter is going to stop our global civilization from going off the Cancel Culture cliff.
I hope so much that Twitter’s new policy of banning video and images of private citizen nobodies without their consent will mean the end of Twitter’s Blue Check Mark Public Figures building social media careers out of trying to drive private citizen nobodies to suicide for Moral Outrage Industry money and calling it Social Justice and pretending that they’re helping Black people, or anyone but themselves.
I hope so much that what was done to me, which almost got me killed and destroyed my life and lifelong human and civil rights academic and legal careers, never happens to another innocent ever again.
But, I’m not going to hold my breath.
What is more likely to happen is that Twitter, true to form, will enforce this new policy in a partisan manner, to protect the Woke and persecute the anti-Woke.
Anyone who is crying that this new Twitter policy is the end of citizen journalism is delusional. Mike Solana just said this on Bari Weiss’ Substack. And, my first thought was: Are you drunk?
What citizen journalism? There is no citizen journalism. There is no journalism.
Everyone is trying to mold themselves in the image of Twitter Race Hustler Shaun King, and they don’t care if they destroy the Living While Black movement or get innocent people killed.
The New York Times is nothing but Twitter Race Hustlers now.
Don Lemon of CNN is a Twitter Race Hustler and Shaun King wannabe now.
Joy Reid of MSNBC is a Twitter Race Hustler and Shaun King wannabe now.
Journalism is dead. Citizen journalism never existed.
Everyone is trying to make the fastest and cheapest and easiest buck, and there is no easier money to be made than by perpetrating a Living While Black Race or Hate Crime Hoax and destroying a private citizen nobody’s life with a snippet of out of context video by blasting it across social media to drive them to suicide or incite their murder. Just ask Shaun King.
This is why we must revisit New York Times v. Sullivan. Right now, the Fake News Press has carte blanche to destroy the lives of private citizen nobodies with impunity. All they have to do, like Newsweek, is pretend that it’s a legitimate news story when some deplorable posts a TikTok video of her little old white lady busybody neighbor, because she didn’t like her Tigger Flag. How much Moral Outrage Industry money was made off of Tigger Flag Karen alone?
Woke KKK Cancel Culture and Trial by Twitter without Due Process is destroying us, our legal system, our egalitarian public space, and our society.
That’s not hyperbole.
I’d like to think that Twitter’s new policy is meant to stop us from going off this Woke KKK Cancel Culture cliff together, but I know better now, after Twitter played a huge role in the witch hunt at Yale that almost got me killed. Imagine how much money they made off of trying to turn me, an innocent Yale grad student, into a corpse. Today, as in right now, Twitter has given carte blanche to its users to drive me to suicide on their platform with impunity.
Twitter is allowing me to be subjected to the most grotesque and reprehensible abuse imaginable, today. After they announced this new policy. And, Shaun King squees.
